JFD launches new ventilator system
JFD, a world leader in breathing apparatus, life support equipment and hyperbaric medical equipment to support life-critical applications and part of James Fisher and Sons plc, today announced that it will bring to market a new patient ventilator system to support global health systems in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic.

JFD acquires Ansti Test Systems
JFD, the world leading underwater capability provider serving the commercial and defence diving markets and part of James Fisher and Sons plc, today announced the acquisition of the business, including all intellectual property rights and assets, of Ansti Test Systems Ltd, an independent global designer and manufacturer of test facilities for performance measurement of underwater breathing apparatus. The acquisition, which significantly enhances JFD’s global product testing capabilities and services, is part of the company’s long-term ambition to provide underwater diving equipment with unparalleled safety and performance, protecting and preserving life in the harshest marine environments to define the limits of product performance under a variety of conditions.

Local jobs created as JFD Australia secures major defence industry contract
New defence industry jobs will be created after JFD Australia, the proven, trusted and reliable delivery partner for undersea combat support systems, announced it had secured a major contract.
The $7.2 million contract to build and pressure test ring stiffened cylinders modelling submarine-like hulls was awarded by the Australian Government Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG) and will lead to the creation of several new positions for project managers and skilled workers.
