JFD partners with Subtech to deliver courses in South Africa

JFD, the leading global subsea operations and engineering company, has today announced the launch of regular training courses through its National Hyperbaric Centre in South Africa, following an agreement with Subtech Group.

JFD’s Aberdeen-based National Hyperbaric Centre, successfully delivers a timetable of subsea related courses in the UK and Singapore and is pleased to announce South Africa as an additional location.

The National Hyperbaric Centre is delighted to have developed a closer partnership with Subtech Group and believes their facility is the ideal location to run their courses. Mark Cooper, National Hyperbaric Centre Training Manger said:

“We have strong links with Subtech Group who are owned by the same parent company as JFD. They are a well-established Marine Services Company based in Durban and Cape Town who also have an extensive history within the diving and subsea industry.  This is an excellent opportunity for National Hyperbaric Centre and Subtech Group to position themselves at the forefront of Subsea and Diver Training and Safety in Africa.”

National Hyperbaric Centre ran regular courses in South Africa during 2013/14, these were well attended and welcomed by the industry so the company is positive this success will continue.

“The courses have been launched in the new location to meet continued demand from clients. We regularly have delegates at our Aberdeen facility from around the globe and the development of these training courses in foreign locations greatly reduces the financial impact on our candidates as it brings down their travelling costs.”

It is anticipated that the Client Representative, Dive System Auditing and ROV System Auditing courses will prove to be the most popular with candidates in South Africa and a timetable for the second half of 2016 is currently being developed.

A Client Representative course has been scheduled in Durban, South Africa on the 13th June and bookings are now available.
