Through-life support
Providing through life support is JFD's proven mechanism for providing appropriate levels of client and product after sales support based on client specific needs and budgets.
Support is provided throughout JFD's extensive global network.
From the divers breathing apparatus to complete complex saturation diving systems, the principles of through-life support can be applied, and JFD can provide full asset maintenance services or work alongside clients operating PMS systems.

Diving equipment is complex and attention to detail is paramount throughout the life of our products. Commercial and military diving equipment is critical life support equipment and the through-service support of the equipment is vital to the safety of the diver.
Providing ‘through life support’ is Divex’s proven mechanism for providing appropriate levels of client and product after sales support depending on client specific needs, requirements and of course budgets.
The level of service provided by JFD depends on the complexity of the equipment, quantities involved and client requirements and maintenance philosophies. Top level, or full support is preferred by the majority of military clients, and adopts the proactive DRACAS approach – Data Reporting Analysis Corrective Action System, providing support for operational capability whilst continually assessing equipment. A training needs analysis ensures that not only is the equipment fit for purpose but those using and maintaining the equipment are able to do so.
Investigating safety cases and user reports allows Divex to keep abreast of trends, all of which will be picked up following review from regular reporting.
In the event product changes are made they are all fed back to the Safety Case where by ARM – availability, reliability and maintainability are all met. Service contracts flag up spares and maintenance availability – crucial for operational readiness.
Support is provided throughout JFD’s extensive global network. Aberdeen the company’s headquarters and design and manufacturing authority provides support for the UK, Europe and the US. Specialist support for the German Navy is provided by JV Divex Domeyer. Dubai, Perth and Sydney operations look after the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
JFD has developed as a response to the requirements primarily of the Defence diving community, but is however no less applicable to commercial diving operations. From the divers breathing apparatus to complete complex saturation diving systems, the principles can be applied, and JFD can provide full asset maintenance services or work alongside clients operating PMS systems.
As operators increasingly look to re-risk and subcontract maintenance to OEM subcontractors, the future promises a rewarding and challenging time for JFD’s though-life support team.
With continuous improvement and a holistic approach being the aim, the main support areas provided include:
-
Spares
-
Repairs
-
Certification
-
Documentation
