JFD has supported the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) since 2007 with the delivery and long-term maintenance of a world-class submarine rescue capability aboard the MV Swift Rescue. Operating under a COCO model, this 22-year partnership reflects Singapore’s commitment to excellence in maritime safety.
Challenge
Singapore sought to enhance regional submarine rescue preparedness with a dedicated system capable of frequent deployment and comprehensive crew training. The solution needed to support both operational missions and simulated training scenarios, ensuring continuous readiness.
Solution
JFD supplied and supports the full Singapore rescue system, including:
- DSAR-6 Submarine Rescue Vehicle: 500m depth, 17 rescuees
- Launch & Recovery System
- TUP & RCC Complex: 58-person capacity
- Schilling ROV
- Ancillary rescue support equipment
The system undergoes 8–9 SERS training deployments annually, enabling both SRV and ROV operational training and readiness.
