Proven Atmosphere Monitoring Capability

Our Fathom range of atmospheric monitoring products is built on our proud 40 year heritage as industry leaders in gas management, monitoring and control in harsh subsea environments with challenging applications on a worldwide basis.

Our award winning high accuracy intelligent Gas Analysis systems provide ‘Life Support’ assurance operationally on a daily, global basis across the Commercial and Defence diving industries.

Emergency Atmosphere Monitoring

In A Box (EAMIAB) JFD’s EAMIAB is an emergency atmosphere monitoring solution for installation within each compartment. The system, once self-calibrated, provides an instant atmosphere reading, a significant enhancement to current systems, which can take up to 30 minutes. This advancement reduces the duration EBS masks are required, enhancing safety and comfort while also reserving vital High Pressure Air.

Mission Critical Carbon Monoxide Monitoring (MCCMM)

Carbon Monoxide (CO) on board a Submarine can be challenging and deadly if levels are exceeded. Incorporating high accuracy, robust non-dispersive infra-red (NDIR) sensing technology, MCCMM is a fixed unit providing continual real-time monitoring within a Submarine compartment, with the addition of data logging and storage.

Advanced NDIR sensing with added gas filtering techniques, allow detection of CO at low levels. The fully shock tested CO monitoring system meets with EMC/ESD electrical compliance standards and vibration testing to NATO standard.

Senior Survivor Panel (SSP)

The SSP automates many of the manual inputs traditionally required by the Senior Survivor to record and calculate Atmosphere conditions as per ‘Guard Book’ requirements. In the event of an emergency, this solution provides a significant safety enhancement by improving accuracy, reliability and efficiency. The SSP includes a portable system which can be calibrated in situ and has the ability to monitor a variety of gases.

Mission Critical Atmosphere Monitoring (MCAM)

Installed in strategic locations throughout the Submarine, the system utilises precision sensing technology capable of monitoring 6 gases simultaneously – Oxygen (O2), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Hydrogen (H2) and Refrigerant Gas R134a.

MCAM is a fully interconnected and certified modular system, tailored for each individual Class of Submarine designed to allow future expansion for increased flexibility. Features include ergonomic HMI (human-machine interface), intuitive clear data display, visual and audible alarms, user configurability, monitoring, logging and reporting, security protection and optional integration into the Submarine PMS (platform management system).
