The SE850 Hyperbaric Flame Detector is specifically designed to be used within the harsh environment of saturation diving systems and is suitable for depths up to 500 msw.
It operates by detecting the ultraviolet radiation emitted by a flame, while not being sensitive to visible light. Detection is signalled by a front-mounted red LED, and by a set of normally-closed relay contacts. The detector is housed within an aluminium pressure housing, which protects the internal electronics from the pressurised environment typically found within a saturation diving chamber.
The SE850 Hyperbaric Flame Detector is type approved for use in saturation diving systems by both Lloyd's Register and DNV-GL.
LR Type Approval Certificate: 17/90004
DNV-GL Type Approval Certificate: TAA000017X
